Because NYC only gives permits to artists alongside Central Park we had to promise to have art work on the table, along with the Bibles, CDs of sermons, articles, books, and tracts for evangelism. We pray that these songs which illustrate seasons and paint pictures of feelings will serve as a vehicle in sharing the Gospel with people and answering questions based on the Bible, to point people to God’s faithfulness. In addition to songs about Jesus from Dwayna Litz and other various artists, we will have art such as these songs as well at the table, representing Dwayna’s life from age 19 to age 24 when she wrote and recorded them.*

The Lighting The Way ministry began in Venice Beach in the spring of 2002.Until the ministry in New York City began Dwayna has not focused on music since 2001, but rather Bible study and full time evangelism and apologetics. This ministry of apologetics began in Venice Beach , then it expanded to Wes t Hollywood , CA , with an outreach to homosexuals. From there, LTW began partnering with “Church of the Open Air” in Santa Monica , CA , to feed the homeless. In 2006, the ministry grew to encompass mission work in Boulder , CO , as an outreach of apologetics on Pearl Street . Plans for new ministries in 2007 include starting an outreach of apologetics to homosexuals and prostitutes in Long Beach , CA , and beginning the new ministry of apologetics alongside Central Park in the spring. Dwayna Litz currently lives in NYC where she does mission work alongside Central Park South with the requirement of an “artist” table for a “First Amendment” permit with the City of New York which enables her by law to share the Gospel in that location and give people answers based on the Bible. LTW has leaders in the other locations to facilitate the booths regularly, and LTW continues to fund the supply of resources (Bibles, tracts, sermon CDs, articles, etc.) in this aggregate of apologetic outreaches coast to coast. The ministry exists to reach the lost with the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ and give answers for salvation in love, embedding the darkness with the light of the Bible. |
