Giving Your Life Away is a program designed for Christians, youth groups and students who wish to work at the Lighting The Way booth in Venice and our outreach in other locations. The purpose is to train Christians in evangelism and invest in their lives, as they are investing in the lives of others. If, by the end of the day, the students pass the test to Part One they are rewarded a prize as a souvenir of their day of mission work with us. The test is to find one Scripture, per topic mentioned below, in an unmarked Bible without a tract for reference. This teaches people how to lead others to salvation by the Scriptures. This equips Christians for evangelism and makes the most of a day of witnessing in Venice Beach, Boulder, CO, or NYC. They have all day to practice, but, by the end of the day, they will be tested in order to win the prize. Hopefully, everyone will want to return for a second visit to witness in Venice Beach or our other ministry locations. Giving Your Life Away- Part Two is for the second visit, Giving Your Life Away- Part Three for the third, and so on. All parts to Giving Your Life Away involve Scripture memorization.

PART ONE:

God—His Perfection
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48).

Man—Our Problem
The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

Christ—God's Son
We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life (1 John 5:20).

Salvation—Christ's Accomplishment
For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God (1 Peter 3:18).

Repentance—God's Command
Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord (Acts 3:19).

Faith—Your Response
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Acts 5:1-4 – You can only lie to a personality, not an object that is lifeless.

Acts 13:1-2 –Only a person can speak “I.” It designates personality.
